LaVoid Ford

Chairman – LaVoid Ford was born and raised in Hobbs, NM. He graduated from Hobbs High in 1974 and continued his education at New Mexico Junior College and Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. Upon his graduation, he worked on staff at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Farmington, NM for eight years. He met and married Denise Miller in Farmington, NM in 1981. They have three children and four granddaughters. Rev. Ford was called as Pastor at Temple Baptist Church of Hobbs, NM in 1989 and has served there for the past thirty and a half years. He has also served as a chaplain for LRMC as well as for the Hobbs Fire and Police Departments. He has served one term as a board member of the Community Drug Coalition of Lea County and is currently serving as Chairman. He is also a member of the board of Legacy Pregnancy Resource Center.
